My adult crime novel, Kill and Tell - published by Legend Press under the title In Too Deep - was shortlisted in the 2009 Luke Bitmead Bursary Awards.

My short story Grocer Jack and the Pirate, won second prize in the 2013 Grace Dieu Writers Competition. To read Grocer Jack and the Pirate click here. Grocer Jack is also published in the 2013 Momaya International Anthology of Short Stories.

My young adults novel Hallowe'en was longlisted for the prestigious Mslexia children's competition in 2012. Extracts from this novel also won first prize in the 2010 Writers' Advice Centre competition.

My short story First Communion made the short list for the national Multi-Story writing competition.

My adult short story Miss Lacey Takes Her Tights Off was shortlisted for the Spring 2010 Yellow Room prize. Read more about the Yellow Room here. It was published as The Journal's Saturday Short Story in November 2012. You can read Miss Lacey Takes Her Tights Off here.

My debut children’s novel The Serpent House was shortlisted for the annual Times/Chicken House award before being published by Curious Fox. In 2016, it was shortlisted for Stockton Libraries’ Book of the Year.
